Elnet Maritime breaks ground on New Maritime Centre
Queen’s Highway, Grand Bahama, Aug. 27th, 2018 – CEO of Elnet Maritime Agency, Elbert Hepburn, and Vice President Janet Shepherd, celebrated Elnet’s 10th Anniversary as well the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Elnet Maritime Center.
“Today, Elnet Maritime Agency Ltd., groundbreaking ceremony signifies that there is life here in Grand Bahama; the Government is committed to the economy of Grand Bahama and ensuring that we provide the opportunities for our people here and throughout The Bahamas to be successful, find meaningful employment to support both themselves and their communities and in the case of Mr. Hepburn, to take advantage of the opportunities that are spurred by our investments.” – DPM Peter Turnquest remarked.
Attendees of this auspicious occasion included Deputy PM Peter Turnquest, Minister of State for Grand Bahama Hon. J. Kwasi Thompson, Senior Business Development Manager, Grand Bahama Port Authority Derek Newbold, along with numerous local businesspersons and officials, the press, the Grand Bahama community, friends, family, and the staff at Elnet Maritime.

This projected is contracted to Spartan Builders and is set for completion in 2020. The Centre will house Elnet’s Corporate Office as well as a training facility for Ship Agents.
